Plans & Billing
Stratifyre supports metered pay-as-you-go billing and subscriptions. Open Settings > Billing to review your current plan, usage, and billing controls.
Metered Usage
Section titled “Metered Usage”An instrument-second is one instrument active for one second of billable resource runtime. Quantity is billable elapsed seconds multiplied by the active instrument count: three instruments active for 12 seconds use 36 instrument-seconds. It measures resource runtime, not the span of market history a backtest simulates.
Backtests use wall-clock runtime. Scanners and live-trading sessions configured for regular-hours modes count only open-market intervals; 24/7 sessions use wall-clock runtime.
Runtime charges combine a base runtime price per second with a per-instrument price per second. The base charge applies once per running resource, independently of instrument count. The Billing page retrieves current tariff terms from Stripe; Pricing shows the base and per-instrument rates separately.
Metered resources include backtests, scanners, and live-trading sessions. AI natural-language conversions are metered separately as conversions.
Live Trading Profit Share
Section titled “Live Trading Profit Share”Live trading also charges 5% of positive realized profit on each live-trading fill, separately from runtime charges. Profit is metered in USD cents: a fill realizing $20 of profit incurs a $1 profit-share charge. Unrealized gains are not metered.
Losing fills do not offset earlier profit-share charges. The fee is calculated on each profitable fill, rather than net profit across the session or billing month.
The live-trading calculator on the Pricing page estimates runtime charges for continuous 24/7 operation; it excludes profit share because future realized profit is not known.
Subscriptions and Payments
Section titled “Subscriptions and Payments”The Billing page shows active subscriptions and usage. Use the billing controls to start checkout or open the Stripe billing portal for subscription and payment-management tasks.
Monthly Spending Cap
Section titled “Monthly Spending Cap”Set a monthly overage spending cap to limit metered charges. The cap is in USD; the minimum is $1.00 and the maximum is $10,000. When the cap is reached, Stratifyre stops billable resources.
The cap covers runtime and AI conversion overage charges; it excludes live-trading profit share.
If lowering a cap would affect queued or running backtests, the app shows the projected cost and asks for confirmation before applying the change. Removing the cap allows overage charges without automatic stopping.
