Broker Setup
Stratifyre is building direct integrations with 9 brokers and crypto exchanges — 4 traditional brokers and 5 crypto exchanges. Each offers different strengths in terms of asset class coverage, account types, and trading features. This page describes what each broker supports and how the connection process will work.
Alpaca
Section titled “Alpaca”Alpaca is a technology-first brokerage known for its developer-friendly API and commission-free trading. It is an excellent choice for traders who are new to automated execution or who focus primarily on US equities and ETFs.

How connection works
Section titled “How connection works”Connecting Alpaca to Stratifyre will use OAuth – a secure industry-standard authentication flow:
- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Alpaca.
- Click Connect. You will be redirected to Alpaca’s website.
- Log in to your Alpaca account and authorize Stratifyre to access your account.
- You will be redirected back to Stratifyre with the connection established.
No API keys to copy, no secrets to manage. Stratifyre never sees your Alpaca password.
Interactive Brokers
Section titled “Interactive Brokers”Interactive Brokers (IBKR) is the industry standard for professional traders, offering access to virtually every asset class across global markets. It is the best choice for traders who need options, futures, forex, or multi-account management.

How connection works
Section titled “How connection works”Interactive Brokers connects via the Client Portal API using OAuth 1.0a:
- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Interactive Brokers.
- Click Connect — you will be redirected to IBKR’s authorization page.
- Log in and grant Stratifyre access to your account.
- Select which account(s) you want to connect if you have multiple.
- You will be returned to Stratifyre with the connection active.
Multi-account support
Section titled “Multi-account support”One of Interactive Brokers’ standout features is multi-account management. With Stratifyre, you will be able to:
- Connect multiple IBKR accounts (e.g., a personal account and an IRA).
- Assign different strategies to different accounts.
- Monitor all accounts from a single Stratifyre dashboard.
- Set independent risk limits per account.
TradeStation
Section titled “TradeStation”TradeStation is a well-established brokerage that combines powerful execution with competitive pricing. It offers both live and simulation accounts, making it easy to test before going live.

Section titled “How connection works”TradeStation will connect via OAuth:
- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select TradeStation.
- Click Connect. You will be redirected to TradeStation’s authorization page.
- Log in and authorize Stratifyre.
- You will be returned to Stratifyre with the connection active.
Simulation mode
Section titled “Simulation mode”TradeStation’s simulation mode is separate from Stratifyre’s paper trading. It provides broker-side simulated fills using TradeStation’s execution engine, which can be a useful additional validation layer before going fully live.
Tradier
Section titled “Tradier”Tradier offers a streamlined brokerage experience with a focus on simplicity and competitive pricing, particularly for options traders.

How connection works
Section titled “How connection works”Tradier will connect via API keys:
- Log in to your Tradier account and navigate to the API settings page.
- Generate an API access token.
- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Tradier.
- Paste your API access token and click Connect.
- Stratifyre will verify the connection and display your account information.
Crypto Exchanges
Section titled “Crypto Exchanges”In addition to traditional brokers, Stratifyre supports five major crypto exchanges for 24/7 automated crypto trading.
Binance
Section titled “Binance”The world’s largest crypto exchange by volume, offering deep liquidity across hundreds of trading pairs.

- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Binance.
- Enter your API key and secret, then choose Mainnet or Testnet mode.
- Stratifyre verifies the connection and displays your account information.

- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Bybit.
- Enter your API key and secret and select Mainnet or Testnet.
- Confirm the connection.
Coinbase
Section titled “Coinbase”A US-regulated crypto exchange focused on spot trading via the Advanced Trade API.

- Paste your API key and choose Live or Sandbox mode.

How connection works
Section titled “How connection works”- Log in to OKX and create an API key from Account > API. Note that OKX requires a passphrase when creating the key.
- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select OKX.
- Enter your API key, secret, and passphrase. Choose Live or Simulated mode.
Kraken

How connection works

- In Stratifyre, navigate to Settings > Broker Connections and select Kraken.
- Enter your API key and secret.
Choosing a broker
Section titled “Choosing a broker”Here is a quick comparison to help you decide which broker fits your needs:

Connecting multiple brokers
Section titled “Connecting multiple brokers”Stratifyre will allow you to connect more than one broker at the same time. This lets you:
- Route strategies to the best broker for each asset class. Run your equity strategies through Alpaca (commission-free) and your crypto strategies through Binance or Bybit.
- Diversify execution risk. If one broker experiences downtime, your other strategies can continue running.
- Compare fill quality. Over time, you can evaluate which broker provides the best execution for your specific strategies.
